CLEANI with Dual Tanks is a washer designed specially for cleaning 3D printed applications after printing processes.
After the printing process, cleaning is an important step as it removes the uncured resins stuck on the surface and prevents the part from becoming sticky.
The CLEANI with Dual Tanks offers a 2-step wash process, utilizing separate tanks for clean and dirty solvent, ensuring thorough cleaning of the printed applications. Typically, we recommend a cleaning duration of three minutes per tank for most applications. It's essential to promptly remove the printed applications after washing is completed, as leaving them in the alcohol for more than 10 minutes may risk discoloration.
However, it's worth noting that certain resin manufacturers may recommend specific cleaning times and procedures. To ensure adherence to the correct process, refer to the Instruction for Use (IFU) provided by the resin manufacturer.
CLEANI employs a stirrer to generate a vortex, ensuring that all surfaces of the printed applications are exposed to the cleaning solution. CLEANI with Dual Tanks utilizes a two-stage washing cycle and effectively cleans most of the printed applications. However, complete removal of uncured resin can be challenging in automated processes.
You can utilize CLEANI for automated cleaning, follow up with careful inspection, and use an alcohol spray bottle for areas requiring extra care. This combined approach can enhance the overall cleaning efficacy, although achieving absolute perfection may still require manual inspection and touch-ups.
If you leave your print submerged in alcohol for too long, it will start to degrade and discolor the print. Please refer to the Instructions for Use (IFU) for best practices.
Having two tanks give you two specific advantages:
- The ability to clean two different types of parts. This is especially important with bio-compatible resins that cannot be cleaned in the same tank as parts printed with a non biocompatible resin.
CLEANI is not an ultrasonic washer. The agitators at the bottom of each tank produce a vortex that effectively cleans your printed pieces.
Changing alcohol inside CLEANI is important. When one of the two tanks is dirty, it's time to replace the cleaning solution.
Cleaning your print with CLEANI requires high alcohol concentration. Most resins require either isopropyl alcohol (99% solution) or ethyl alcohol (95% solution) for cleaning. Please refer to the material (IFU) instructions for use about the optimal processes.
The dimensions of the CLEANI tanks are 11 (W) x 23 (D) x 23 (H) cm
CLEANI supports both 220V and 110V input.
